The Mohali Defence Academy (MDA) is a specialized institution designed to train candidates for a permanent service commission through the National Defence Academy (NDA). Established in Sector 68, Mohali, by Prabhjot Sir and team, the academy started training students in April 2022. The curriculum is structured to prepare 50 cadets through an integrated two-year program, commonly referred to as NDA cum regular schooling.
With intense competition among aspirants seeking a prestigious and well-respected career in the Indian Defence Services, Mohali Defence Academy stands out with its best student enrollment-to-selection ratio in various competitive exams.
MDA also provides comprehensive coaching for various defence entrance exams, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), Combined Defence Services (CDS), Sainik School, Rashtriya Military School, Mai Bhago Academy Afpi (MBAFPI) and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy (MRSA AFPI MOHALI). The academy also offers personalized coaching programs led by retired army officers, including former Group Testing Officers (GTOs) and psychologists from Service Selection Boards (SSBs).
One of the academy's distinguished mentors is Prabhjot Singh, author of Conceptual Mathematics and Target AFPI book. He is committed to guiding students toward early success in securing defence sector jobs.

Selected cadets complete their secondary education after the 10th standard, specializing in non-medical subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Physical Education, with Computer Science as an optional subject. To facilitate their schooling, Mohali Defence Academy has a contractual partnership with Paragon, a CBSE-affiliated school in Sector 71, Mohali.
Cadets undergo rigorous physical training that meets National Defence Academy standards. Various sports competitions, including volleyball, football, cross-country, swimming, hockey, football, basketball, gym training, and lawn tennis, are regularly organized. Additionally, shooting is taught in an indoor shooting range.
Training includes soft skills, communication skills, officer-like qualities, body language, and effective study techniques. Regular debates, group discussions, and personality development programs are conducted to enhance leadership and confidence.
Expert-led coaching classes are provided to prepare cadets for the NDA written entrance examination and Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews, ensuring a strong foundation for their selection.
Unlike other academies, we also prepare cadets for IIT JEE Mains alongside NDA training. This enables aspirants to apply for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme, increasing their opportunities for entry into the armed forces after completing their 10+2 education.
